An A-road was closed in both directions following a crash involving a motorbike and a car.

Emergency services were called to the incident at the junction of the A28 and Chilmington Green Road in Ashford at about 9.30am.

A spokesman for the ambulance service said: “Crews assessed and treated two patients at the scene before taking them both to William Harvey Hospital in Ashford for further medical treatment.”

It is unclear at this stage what injuries may have been sustained, but they are not suspected to be life-changing or life-threatening.

The A28 has now cleared following the incident.

KCC Highways previously warned motorists to expect delays in the area and to allow extra time for journeys.
