Armed police descended on a car park this evening.

Five police vehicles were pictured at Eureka Place, off Trinity Road, in Kennington, Ashford.

A dog unit was also spotted at the scene.

It is understood a man has been arrested.

Police have been approached for comment.

Eureka Place is a small shopping precinct and is home to a pub, medical centre and nursery.
