The blaze started in a caravan in Osborne Road, and spread to a car parked nearby and a fence.

Two fire engines were sent to the scene and crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to extinguish the flames.

While no casualties were reported, it's believed the fire was started deliberately.

A police spokeswoman said: "We were called to Osbourne Road at 23.57pm last night following a report of a fire.

"A caravan was damaged in the incident which is being treated as arson. Enquiries are ongoing."
