Pranksters add a funny face to the landmark at the junction of Godinton Road and West Street in Ashford

Seasonal pranksters have been at it again, this time adding a Halloween face to Ashford’s bolt sculpture.

The Elwick Road centrepiece was adorned with a new spooky face on Saturday night.

It's not the first time that the iconic brown bolt sculpture has been given a makeover.

Back at Easter it became the Easter bunny with the addition of whiskers and ears.

And last Christmas the landmark was transformed into a giant Christmas pudding.

Decorated with large red ‘berries’ and green leaves, the iconic bolt sculpture became a fun festive treat.

The giant bolt made of cor-ten steel sits on a mini-roundabout at the junction of Godinton Road and West Street and is intended to celebrate Ashford’s railway heritage.
