A bowling alley in Ashford has undergone a major £300,000 refurbishment.
AMF Bowling relaunched as a Hollywood Bowl complex on Tuesday night.
The centre remained open for the duration of the refurbishment, and celebrated with a 'VIP party' last night on Station Road.
Guests included a Marilyn Monroe lookalike, who officially opened the VIP lanes.
The redesign saw the centre undergo a full rebrand and refurbishment to include a brand-new Hollywood Diner, serving gourmet dogs and burgers, freshly made shakes served in retro milk bottles, and signature desserts.
The Diner sits alongside a brand new American-style bar serving house speciality cocktails and a wide range of beers and wines.
Hollywood Bowl Ashford has also become home to four Hollywood legend themed VIP lanes, where guests can enjoy 'all-star treatment' in a roped off area, with special pool style bowling balls and coloured pins.
The refurbishment has also seen the arrival of new pool tables and the centre’s amusement area has been including in the transformation, and now features the latest industry leading games such as Jurassic Park and MOTO GP Bikes, retro games like Crossy Road and old favourites like crane games with the latest movie related prizes.
There is also the opportunity to ‘Play for Prizes’, where customers can collect tickets won on their favourite games and exchange them for goodies, from candy to a remote controlled Red Bull Formula 1 car.
Lauren Seymour, general manager of Hollywood Bowl Ashford, said: “We’re incredibly excited about the transformation that has taken place and can’t wait to bring the full Hollywood Bowl experience to both new and existing Ashford customers.
“The addition of VIP lanes, a Hollywood Diner and new pool tables will mean we something to keep everyone entertained!”
Hollywood Bowl is part of The Hollywood Bowl Group, the UK’s leading ten-pin bowling business with 57 centres operating under the Hollywood Bowl, AMF Bowling and Bowlplex brands.
