Burst water main on Canterbury Road, Ashford, closes busy lane

Traffic on one of the main routes into Ashford is being disrupted for a fourth day after a water main burst.

Crews from South East Water are trying to tackle the issue which has seen traffic heading away from the town on the Canterbury Road - close to the junction with Magazine Road - be diverted.

Workman have dug a hole in one lane of the road while work continues.

The main burst on Friday afternoon, sending water down towards the Simone Weil Avenue junction.

The issue is understood to have had an impact on water supplies to nearby properties.
