Ashford: Campervan on fire on M20

Traffic was stopped coast-bound on the M20 because of a VW campervan catching fire.

Fire crews were called to the scene just after junction 10 for Ashford, heading towards junction 11 for Hythe, at around 10.30am.

Eyewitnesses say the passengers were out of the campervan, which was engulfed in flames.

Delays had cleared by 11.30am.

A fire spokesman said: "We were called to the incident at 10.37am.

"Crews used the compressed air foam system to extinguish the fire.

"There were no reported injuries. Crews made the scene safe."
