Vauxhall Zafira torched in suspected arson in Ashford

Police are investigating a suspected arson after a car was torched outside a garage block.

Officers are appealing for information after the vehicle was found on fire in Ashford on Monday.

Emergency services were called to the blaze, which had spread to a nearby garage in Cressfield at around 3am.

Firefighters extinguished the fire, but not before it caused severe damage to the unattended blue Vauxhall Zafira and the adjacent garage.
