Crash on M20 Coast bound near Ashford

Traffic is flowing freely on the M20 after a crash on the coastbound carriageway.

The third lane was closed following the incident at Junction 9 near Ashford.

Traffic officers were called to the scene, and traffic was especially slow on the slip lanes on both carriageways.

Drivers were asked to approach the area with caution.

This is the second incident on the motorway in a matter of hours, after emergency crews were called after a vehicle caught fire near Junction for West Malling.

Firefighters were called to the scene at around 11.45am after a car caught alight on the Londonbound carriageway.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
