Crash on A2042 Romney Marsh Road in Ashford sparks delays

A dual carriageway was blocked following a crash.

The A2042 Romney Marsh Road in Ashford was partly shut off after the accident involving a white Vauxhall Adam and another vehicle.

It happened just before the Flanders Roundabout, which links the A2042 with the A2070 and Ellingham estate.

Drivers are able to pass the accident in the second lane, but delays are building.

The road is particularly busy as people leave work, so motorists should be expecting further delays than normal.

Police confirmed they were called to a two-car crash at around 3.20pm.

A spokesman said: "Officers are in attendance, alongside the South East Coast Ambulance Service, and at present no serious injuries have been reported."
