Emergency crews are freeing a trapped man from his car following a two-vehicle crash.

The incident on the A251 Faversham Road has sparked the closure of the route in both directions.

It is causing lengthy hold-ups in Boughton Aluph, near Ashford.

There is heavy emergency response at the scene, with air ambulances landing nearby.

Motorists heading out of Ashford towards Challock - or vice-versa - will need to find alternative routes.

Fire crews are using hydraulic cutting gear to try and free a trapped man.

Motorists are being urged to avoid the area.
