Crash casualty cut free from car by firefighters at Kennington, Ashford

A crash victim had to be cut free from their car.

The accident, involving a single vehicle, happened at The Street, Kennington, yesterday.

A Kent Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "Crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the roof of the car and freed a casualty on a longboard.

"Crews made the scene safe and handed care of the casualty over to South East Coast Ambulance Service."

Fireefighters were called out just after 1.20pm and two engines attended.

Crews were at the scene until just after 2.45pm.
