Bockhanger Community Centre in Kennington demolished

A run-down hall which had stood for 50 years is no more.

Demolition of the Bockhanger Community Centre in Kennington was completed earlier this month.

The site - which has now been boarded up - was once home to a nursery and library.

It cost Ashford Borough Council (ABC) £150,000 to demolish the centre.

An authority spokesperson said: “Demolition has been completed and the site is boarded up at the moment to allow the grassed area to bed in.

"We are looking into the future uses for the site and we will provide more details on redevelopment options for the area later this year.”
