Driver arrested after crash at Junction 10, Ashford, sees Porsche Taycan written off

A driver has been arrested following a 22-mile police pursuit after a crash involving a Porsche.

The Taycan model was written off in the accident at Junction 10 of the M20 for Ashford just before 10pm on Friday evening.

Nobody was injured, but the other driver involved in the crash is understood to have left the scene.

Later that evening, police received a report that a car matching the description of the one involved in the earlier collision was being driven dangerously in Hawkinge.

Officers located the vehicle and following a pursuit, it came to a stop in Central Boulevard in Aylesham and the driver was arrested.

Thomas Bull, 33, of Cherry Blossom Way, Aylesham, has been charged with driving while unfit through drink, driving a motor vehicle above the alcohol limit and failing to stop after a collision.

He will appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, March 11.
