High Halden: Two injured in car crash on A28 Ashford Road at Cripple Hill

A woman in her 70s is in a critical condition in hospital after a crash near High Halden, Ashford.

The collision happened on the A28 Ashford Road at the junction with Cripple Hill, at about 10.15am on Saturday.

The elderly woman suffered serious injuries when the green Nissan Micra in which she was a passenger collided with a blue Audi SQ5.

She was taken to a London hospital, where her condition is described as being critical but stable.

The driver of the Audi, a man in his 30s, also sustained minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital.

Police are investigating the incident, and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
