Police and ambulances at Maidstone Road, Ashford

By Aidan Barlow

Police have reopened a busy town centre road after a woman was reportedly run over at a pedestrian crossing.

The emergency services have attended the scene in Maidstone Road in Ashford, near St Teresa’s Church this evening.

Traffic was blocked and diverted away from the road approaching the town centre, and there were queues building back to Drovers roundabout.
