Sheep escape and end up in Willesborough in Ashford

A pair of sheep surprised residents after turning up in a residential street.

The woolly escapees were caught on camera making their way through Willesborough in Ashford earlier today.

Residents on the Highfield estate spotted the pair just after 1pm as they trotted through Johnson Close.

One resident managed to snap a picture of the fluffy fugitives as they paused to trim a grass verge.

The resident said: "I was just walking back from shopping and there they were, it was very unexpected!

"We're not entirely sure where exactly they've come from, there are a few fields nearby that often have sheep."

Naturally, escaped sheep are not a rare appearance in the rural areas of the county.

Last year, two Dover residents had to bravely herd an escaped trio off a busy road.

Escaped animals, unusual finds and news from the RSPCA can all be found here.
