THIS is the face of the man wanted by police in connection with an indecent assault on a 12-year-old girl.

The assault took place in October last year, but the girl was so traumatised by the attack that she has only recently told her family about it.

The child was approached and set upon by the man as she played in a field near Long Length, Kingsnorth, near Ashford.

Then, in December last year, he accosted her again in a street in Ashford. On both occsions he was seen in a white Austin Metro, with a man of Mediterranean appearance and a white woman with short blonde hair who wore lots of make-up and had a "common accent".

The man wanted by police is white, with long hair in a centre parting. He has discoloured teeth, part of his right eyebrow shaven and a cross-shaped earring in his right ear.
