Hunt still on for driver six weeks after hit-and-run crash on White Hill, between Wye and Challock

Police are continuing to search for a driver more than six weeks after a hit-and-run crash with a pedestrian.

The collision happened on White Hill near Challock at about 11.30am on March 27, and a man was taken to hospital with injuries.

It was reported that he was hit by a dark green estate car, which left the scene.

A month-and-a-half on, officers are still searching for the car’s driver and would like to hear from anyone who saw what happened.

A spokeswoman for the force added: “Anyone who has any information regarding the incident, or who has private CCTV or dashcam footage which might assist, should call Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting 27-0467.

“You can also call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or complete their online form.”

White Hill - a secluded country lane - was cordoned off by police after the crash.

The pedestrian’s injuries are not believed to be life-changing.
