Ashford man arrested after serious crash on Ashford Road in Kingsnorth

A 33-year-old man has been arrested following a serious crash in Ashford.

The accident happened between a blue Vauxhall Vivaro van and a grey Ford Focus took place at the junction of Magpie Hall Road and Ashford Road, next to Ashford Cricket Club in Kingsnorth yesterday.

Emergency services were called to the scene and rushed two people to the William Harvey Hospital.

A man was airlifted to King's College Hospital and is described as being in a serious condition.

The crash, which happened between 1.45pm and 1.55pm yesterday, closed the road for several hours.

Police have since arrested a man from Ashford in connection with the incident.

He has been released under investigation.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) would like to speak to any witnesses or anyone who might have CCTV or dashcam footage of the collision or either vehicle beforehand.
