Man from Ashford charged with attempting to damage police drone

A man who allegedly tried to damage a police drone is due to appear in court.

Paul Bristow, 48, was arrested after police officers deployed the device in Chilmington Green, near Ashford, yesterday.

Mr Bristow, who lives in Chilmington Green, has since been charged with assault, attempting to damage a police drone, and obstructing a constable in the execution of his duty.

He has been bailed, and is due to appear before Folkestone Magistrates' Court on June 24.
