A man was left needing hospital treatment after injuring his hand and face in a scuffle with masked attackers who targeted his home in Ashford.
Just after 9.30pm on Thursday night, a woman opened the back door to her Woolreeds Road property when she was threatened by a man holding a knife.
The raider was then chased into the garden by the man living at the house, where a second suspect appeared.
A struggle ensued and the man was assaulted and left injured by both suspects before they left the garden.
The first suspect is described as being a white man, between 5ft 5ins tall and 6ft tall, and was wearing all black with a balaclava or hood covering his face.
The second suspect was also reported as wearing all black with his face covered.
Officers ask anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area at the time to call Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting 46/223230/19.
