A motorcycle rider has been taken to hospital after a crash with a car.

Officers were called to Newton Road in Ashford just before 11am today, following the collision.

Paramedics took the male rider to the William Harvey Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Police are in the process of reopening the road.
