Five vehicles crashed into each other by the shop entrance and the road was closed in both directions between the Panorama and Hollywood Bowl.

A Range Rover, Citroen C1, Renault Kaptur and two Ford Fiestas - including an ST model - were all involved.

Two other cars, including a heavily damaged black Vauxhall Astra, also pulled over outside Kaspa's Desserts.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene, alongside the Ashford Recovery team.

A police spokeswoman said officers were called to the crash at about 7.45am.

She said: "Officers attended the scene, along with the ambulance service, where part of the road was closed in order to recover the vehicles."

The road reopened at about 10.30am.
