Police have cordoned off a path at a popular park after a reported sexual assault.
The alleged attack happened between 8.25pm and 9pm yesterday.
Officers are at the scene, which stretches along the River Stour from the recreational ground’s fountain to Beaver Road.
A police spokesman said: “Officers remain at the scene and inquiries to establish the circumstances are ongoing.
“There have been no arrests.”
Tape has reportedly lined the route since about 2am last night.
Victoria Park is set across 17 acres and features a playground, cafe and memorial garden.
