A person has died after collapsing at a hotel.
Police and ambulance crews were scrambled to the Ashford North Premier Inn, off the A20 in Hothfield Common, following reports of a “medical incident” on Saturday evening (May 10).
According to an eye-witness no one was being allowed access via the main entrance which was “guarded” by officers from 7.30pm onwards.
“There are two police cars outside, down from three. There are two ambulances too,” a diner at a nearby restaurant said at the time.
“There are about four police officers huddled outside the main entrance who appear to be guarding the main entrance.”
A critical care response unit was also pictured at the scene.
Police confirmed their attendance to a “medical incident” at the hotel shortly after 7.30pm where officers assisted ambulance crews.
A spokesperson for the ambulance service has now confirmed they were called to reports a person had collapsed at the hotel in Maidstone Road but they had “sadly died at the scene”.
