Fire crews fought to tackle a large stack of pallets which caught alight.

Crews were called to a storage yard between Smarden and Pluckley on 9.30pm on Saturday.

The site was off Smarden Bell Road.

Staff used a forklift truck to create a gap to help stop the spread of the flames (known as a fire break), while crews used air foam to put the blaze out.

There were no injuries and the cause is not known at this stage.
