Plane crash at Headcorn Aerodrome sparks emergency response

Emergency services have shut off a Kent aerodrome after a light aircraft crashed in a field.

Police, ambulance and fire crews were called to Headcorn Aerodrome between Maidstone and Ashford just before 4.30pm.

An investigation into the crash has been launched and emergency services are still at the scene.

Police say the Air Accidents Investigation Branch has been informed of the incident.
