The police helicopter was brought in to search for a driver after he failed to stop for officers.

At around 12.30am today, a vehicle, believed to be linked to a reported burglary in London Road, Aylesford on April 18, was pursued by police.

The car came to a stop on the M20 near junction 9 and the driver left the scene.

Officers searched the area and a 52-year-old man from Dartford was arrested in connection with the incident.

He remains in custody.
