Police hunt wanted Ashford man Leon Campbell

Police are urgently hunting a man convicted of weapons and driving offences after he failed to appear at court.

Leon Campbell, 23, from Ashford, was previously jailed for the crimes and released on licence.

But an arrest warrant has now been issued after he failed to turn up at North Surrey Magistrates Court on Tuesday for breaching the strict conditions of his licence.

Campbell was sentenced to a year and eight months in prison in August after pleading guilty to having an offensive weapon and a prohibited weapon in Surrey and driving and vehicle offences in Kent.

Despite various enquiries to try and trace Campbell, officers have so far been unable to find him and are asking for anyone with information about where he is to contact them immediately.

Campbell has links to the Guildford area and has family in Kent and London. He is described as being white, 5ft 10ins tall, medium build and has brown hair.

Sergeant James Ansell said: "This man is well known in the Guildford area but also may be in Kent or London and I would urge anyone who has recently been in touch with or seen him to share this information with police.”

Anyone with any information about where Campbell might be is asked to call Surrey Police on 101 (or 999 in an emergency), quoting reference number 45150053999 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
