Police and ambulance in Ashford Lower High Street

A teenager and a man in his 20's have been arrested in front of shoppers.

Kent Police confirmed the pair, both from Ashford and aged 18 and 23, were outstanding suspects for a shoplifting report.

The offence is reported to have happened in Ashford High Street on Tuesday, January 23.

Police attended today around 2pm and the men remain in custody as enquiries continue.

An ambulance was also spotted near police patrols. It is not known if this was linked to the arrests.
