Police have seized an unusual electric vehicle from a teenager seen riding it through a high street.
The e-unicycle, also known as a solo-wheel, was spotted in Ashford town centre this morning.
It is illegal to ride them in public spaces under the Road Traffic Act, which also applies to more commonly seen e-scooters.
The youngster riding the device was stopped by community officers at 11.47am and the unicycle was taken from him.
PC Adam Staughton, of the Ashford Community Safety Unit, said: “Members of the public who are seen using an e-vehicle in a dangerous or antisocial manner risk having it seized.
“It is currently against the law to use e-vehicles on public streets, pavements, or cycle lanes, and I would urge people to reconsider both the purchase and use of these vehicles.”
The quirky mode of transportation is a self-balancing personal transporter with a single wheel.
Segways are also classified as a unicycle, as well as hoverboards.
