Renewed appeal following fatal crash on A251 in Boughton Aluph, near Ashford

Officers are continuing to appeal for witnesses to come forward following a fatal crash in Boughton Aluph.

The Serious Collision Investigation Unit launched an investigation after a Vauxhall Corsa and VW Passat collided on the A251 in Boughton Aluph near Ashford at around 3.30pm on Wednesday.

A woman in her 60s, who was from the Folkestone area, died at the scene.

Two air ambulances were sent to the area and a man and child were flown to a London hospital.

The child has since been discharged but the man remains in a serious condition.

A further four motorists required medical treatment.

Sergeant Peter Greaves said: "Thank you to those who have come forward so far.

"We still want to speak to anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the collision, in particular those who were reportedly travelling in a green Audi in the Canterbury direction, as they may have information which could assist our investigation."
