Residents at one of Kent’s biggest tower blocks evacuated their homes as a fire broke out.
Firefighters were called to The Panorama, a nine-storey building in Park Street, Ashford, shortly after 6pm yesterday.
Several engines attended after a blaze caused by an electrical fault is believed to have occured on the seventh floor.
A spokeswoman for Kent Fire and Rescue (KFRS) said: “We were called on Tuesday to reports of a fire in Park Street, Ashford.
“Four fire engines attended and crews, wearing breathing apparatus, extinguished the fire using dry powder.
“Residents evacuated before the crew arrived and there were no reported injuries.
“The fire is believed to have started due to an electrical fault.”
Crews left the scene shortly before 7pm.
The Panorama, which first opened as an office block in 1975, was converted into more than 200 flats in the mid-2010s.
