A main road was closed for more than two hours after a crash thought to have involved a motorbike.

The A252 Charing Hill in Charing, near Ashford, is shut in both directions due to the incident earlier this afternoon.

The road has been closed since about 3pm and traffic is queuing from The Hill to the A20.

It remains shut while emergency services deal with the incident.

According to the traffic monitoring system Inrix, the accident involved a motorbike, however, this has not been confirmed.

It is not yet known whether anyone has been seriously injured.

The road reopened at about 5.30pm.
