A man has been hospitalised in a "serious" condition after a two-car crash on a rural road this afternoon.

Police are warning that Pluckley Road between the villages of Pluckley and Charing will be closed until 5pm while the circumstances are investigated.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit were called at 12.40pm, and say a man in his 50s was hurt.

The accident is causing delays for traffic as the road is closed from the junction with Hunger Hatch Lane up to the junction with Station Road.
