Couple searching for missing wedding suit left on train from Ashford

A couple hope to get back on the right track after a husband left his wedding suit on a train.

Noami Edwards-Ryan tweeted Southeastern in desperation this morning, saying: "My husband left his wedding suit on the train. Can you help him get out of the doghouse by helping find it? I'm totally broken-hearted right now."

The pair were on the 12.03 from Ashford International to Charing Cross and said the suit bag was left on a luggage rack in the middle of a carriage.

Mrs Ryan, originally from Canterbury, said: "I was a bridesmaid yesterday to my best friend in Asford. To celebrate my husband Euan wore his wedding suit. She was a bridesmaid on my wedding day. On our journey home he’s managed to leave it on the train. I cannot believe he’s lost the suit immediately after our good friend’s wedding.

"Any help would be so appreciated. He wears it for good luck whenever he has an interview or wedding and we’re both heartbroken."

Kind-hearted staff at the train company said the carriages had already been checked and promised to help.

They later said they realised the couple were still at Charing Cross chasing it up with workers there, adding: "We've made quite a few calls with no luck so far, however we're still on the case and will let you know."

The rail firm has also sent out its own tweet hoping the travelling public can ride to the rescue.

If you can help Mrs Ryan has set up a twitter account @Nomes05002212
