Southern trains disruption continues after signal fault at Streatham Common

Southern trains are still disrupted today after a fault with the signalling system at Streatham Common.

All lines have reopened between East Croydon and London Victoria, however the company has warned trains may continue to be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes.

It is the second day of delays for Kent commuters travelling to and from the city.

To help rail users reach their destination, Southern, Thameslink and Gatwick Express tickets are valid for travel on a number of alternative routes.

That includes Southeastern between Hastings, Ashford International and London Charing Cross/London Cannon Street.

More alternative routes can be found here.

A spokesman said: "Please continue to travel as usual this morning.

"If you have an advance ticket dated for Thursday, July 5, you are permitted to use this for travel today.

"We anticipate a good service will be operating by 10am."
