Man knocked out in attack outside KFC in Ashford's Lower High Street as teen arrested

A man was knocked out after being set upon outside KFC in Ashford town centre.

Officers swooped on the Lower High Street following the attack at about 6pm yesterday and found the unconscious victim.

A police helicopter was spotted circling over the town centre at 6.30pm.

The victim was taken to hospital and police have now arrested a 16-year-old from the town on suspicion of a public order offence. He remains in custody.

The ambulance service has been contacted for comment.
