18-year-old arrested after spate of indecent exposures across Ashford

An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a spate of indecent exposure incidents.

Police were called to a park near Kimberley Way in Ashford on Saturday after reports of a man exposing himself to members of the public, with a teenager arrested later that day.

The incident and suspect have been linked to a number of similar occasions in which the perpetrator is described similarly.

These took place on April 23 in Riverbank Way, April 14, on Cuckoo Lane and two sexual assaults on March 4 - one in an alleyway near Hawks Lane and another on Knoll Lane.

The man was released on bail until Tuesday, June 4 pending further enquiries.

Investigating officer PC Steven Blackman said: "Thank you to those who have already contacted us with information and we continue to investigate all reports of suspicious behaviour, so if you believe you have seen something similar, report it on 101.

"We understand there are other people who witnessed the incident on Saturday 11 May and have yet to speak to an officer, so we urge them to call Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting 46/89620/19 as their information could help our enquiries."
