Two charged after car stolen from driveway in Ashford

Two people suspected of stealing a car have been charged after it was seen driving dangerously after being stolen from a driveway.

The vehicle was spotted apparently driving as speed in Orbital Park in Ashford.

Officers were called at about 8.30am on Tuesday morning after the car was reported stolen from Raymond Fuller Way.

It was seen driving dangerously in Orbital Park, and was located by officers in Osborne Road where the two people were arrested.

Aaron Spendley, of Bloomsbury Way, Ashford, has since been charged with dangerous driving and aggravated vehicle taking.

The 34-year-old has also been charged with two counts of theft from a vehicle after items were reported stolen from cars in Sandyhurst Lane, Ashford, on Wednesday, October 14.

Kirsty Davies, 22, also of Bloomsbury Way, has also been charged with aggravated vehicle taking and two counts of theft from a vehicle.

Both appeared before Medway Magistrates' Court by video link on Thursday.

Spendley was remanded in custody and is due to appear before the court again on Tuesday, October 27.

Davies was bailed following her appearance and will next appear before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, November 19.
