Police called to Ellson Close, Newtown, Ashford, following stabbing

Two women are in hospital with “life-threatening” injuries following a stabbing this afternoon.

Police and paramedics – including the air ambulance – were called following a report of an assault at a property in Ellson Close, in Newtown, Ashford, at 1.43pm.

Two women had injuries consistent with stab wounds, which are believed to be life-threatening, police said.

One woman was taken to the William Harvey Hospital, while the second was taken to a London hospital.

No arrests have been made at this time, and police remain at the scene carrying out inquiries.
