Ashford: Mr Doodle adds design to Snowdogs Discover Ashford exhibition

A talented artist who recently returned from an exhibition in South Korea has added his creative flair to the Snowdogs Discover Ashford scheme.

Sam Cox - better known as Mr Doodle - took over County Square Shopping Centre last week, covering a blank-canvas canine with his unique style of art.

The 24-year old said: “I was approached by long-time commissioner and friend Chris Dixon from the council who I worked with last year on my doodle shop in Park Mall.

“Chris asked if I wanted to paint a Snowdog and I thought it sounded like a great idea.

“It is a fun project for a great cause and it’s really interesting to see all the different artists’ work; there are some really amazing Snowdogs.”

The doodler took eight hours to complete the work, using a thinner pen than he usually does.

Mr Cox: "I themed it mostly around dogs and their owners, as well as cars and driving because my dog was sponsored by Motorline.

"So the individual doodles contain lots of bouncy cars and funny looking dogs.

"My recent exhibition in Seoul has been a huge highlight for me so far; meeting people who love what I do is really cool, it is a great feeling."
