A black BMW was travelling on the A2070 Bad Munstereifel Road near the Barrey Road retail park in Ashford, when it was in collision with a white Citroen Berlingo van at around 11.35am on July 26.

The driver of the van was at the junction and was turning into the retail park at the time of the crash when it collided with the BMW travelling in the opposite direction.

Police attended along with ambulance services and the woman, who was travelling as a passenger in the BMW, was taken to hospital.

She later died in hospital although it has not yet been determined whether her injuries from the crash caused her death.

Officers from Kent Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing to any further witnesses, who have not yet come forward, who saw the incident, or who has dashcam footage that could help their enquiries, to contact them.

Anyone with information should call the appeal line on 01622 798538, quoting reference XX/VS/087/22. You can also email investigators on sciu.td@kent.police.uk
