Woman dies in crash on A251 in Boughton Aluph near Ashford

A woman in her 60s has died following a head-on crash.

Two air ambulances were called to the A251 in Boughton Aluph near Ashford yesterday following the accident involving a Vauxhall Corsa and VW Passat.

A man and a child were also hurt in the crash at about 3.30pm and were flown to a London hospital.

A further four people reported injuries and received medical treatment.

The black Vauxhall was travelling towards Ashford when it collided with the VW heading in the opposite direction close to the junction with Wye Road.

An investigation has been launched by the serious collision investigation unit which is appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Anyone who saw either vehicle being driven before the collision or drivers with any dashcam footage of the incident are also asked to call the SCIU witness appeal line on 01622 798538 or email sciu.td@kent.pnn.police.uk quoting DS/MW/80/19.
