Woman thrown from car in crash horror

A YOUNG woman is in hospital with serious injuries today after she was thrown from her car as it crashed in a Kent village.

The Vauxhall Corsa was on its side when the woman was found by a member of the public at Towers Hill, Smeeth, near Ashford, just before midnight last night.

Kent Police say she was taken to William Harvey Hospital at Ashford with "serious injuries".

Spokeswoman Rosemary Alexander added: "The woman comes from the Dover area and is in her twenties. It is not thought that any other vehicle was involved in the incident."

The road was closed at Andrew’s Garage, while members of the Kent Police Serious Crash Investigation Unit conducted enquiries It reopened at about 4.30am.
