Woman's handbag snatched in Hoxton Close, Ashford

A woman has had her handbag snatched in Ashford, being pulled to the ground during the robbery.

The incident took place at 10.15pm on Tuesday, as she was stood in Hoxton Close waiting for a friend.

Having just walked down an alleyway, the victim - a woman in her 50s - was approached by a man who swiped the handbag, pulling her to the ground in the process.

The suspect is described as bearded, just under 6ft tall, of medium build and wearing dark clothes.

CCTV has been reviewed in an attempt to identify the man, who ran away after taking the handbag.

Kent Police have asked for any witnesses to come forward by ringing 01843 222289 and quoting reference 46/141870/19.
