A celebrity guest is coming to Ashford to launch a new fitness class.

X Factor star Chico Slimani is set to launch Block Fit - a class that fuses four workouts into one, including dance, combat, HIT (high and low interval training) and yoga.

The fitness brand was set up by the former reality show contestant, who's hit song 'It's Chico Time' topped the UK Singles Chart in 2006.

He will be leading the first class alongside instructor Cassie Crowhurst at Willesborough Junior School from 7.30pm next Monday.

The one-hour session is said to burn between 650 and 1000 calories depending on body type and intensity.

Cassie, 39, who is behind the business venture, said: "I am one of the new instructors at Block Fitness.

"I'm quite good friends with Chico and he will be coming to help me launch the class.

"I went on a fitness retreat with him in Morocco - that's where I got qualified."

Entry to the first class is half price and costs £6 per session after.

"The class is for both males and females and people of all ages", she added.

"There will be opportunities for people to have photos with Chico at the class.

"I've already got about 40 people booked in.

"It's the first time I have done anything like this."

The classes will run every Monday at the school in Highfield Road from 7.30pm to 8.30pm.

All 50 spaces have now been fully booked.
