ASHFORD Golf Club professional Paul Sherman is on the crest of wave after a stunning hat-trick of wins.

It has included a course record magnificent 62 at Cherry Lodge and a hole in one at Mid Kent that has earned him a jetski from sponsors Enni-Scheme Insurance.

He holed out with a towering four wood at the par four hole at the Mid Kent Pro-Am and went on to fire a superb 65 to win the event overall.

The previous day he had started his hot run with a victory in the Southern Region Pro-Am event with a 66 at Sandmartins in Berkshire but eclipsed both those performances the following Thursday at Cherry Lodge.

Competing the in the Kent PGA Pro-Am in difficult conditions the early finishers looked set to take the honours until the Ashford player, son of club professional Hugh, stormed in with a blinding 62.

He carved five shots off the course record to take his tally for the last four rounds to a remarkable 24 under par.
