ASHFORD golfers Audrey Disbury and Freda Angus have won the county’s Coombe Cup, a popular Kent knockout competition, for the third year.

Altogether 86 competitors take in the competition throughout the summer.

Their opponents were Shirley Preston and Maureen Kirk, from Mid Kent Golf Club, who proved to be tough opposition, with the Ashford players just winning with the last putt on the 18th green at Sundridge Park (East Course).
